What are Scholarships for Hope? 

This scholarship program offers ARC Marion clients the funding to utilize ARC Marion job skills training, supported living assistance, employment coaches, transportation services and other support programs. 

For the past three years, The Hope Foundation has provided nearly $175,000 in scholarship assistance to dozens of ARC Marion clients who are financially disadvantaged due to budget cuts from state funding.                

Who is Being Helped?

On a monthly basis, the names and faces change, but their needs don't.  The Hope Foundation relies heavily on individual donations to continue helping clients like:

Terry, who receives $700 a month in job skills training on ARC Marion’s campus to maintain his skills while he looks for a job in the community; 

Helen, who receives $300 a month in job skills support and transportation so that she can go to work and go on outings with her group home; 

Cora, who receives $187 a month in scholarship assistance for an ARC Marion life coach to help her live independently in her own apartment.

Why Get Involved?

ARC Marion clients need your help! Gifts of any size are always welcome, and the services provided at ARC Marion are needed and costly.  You can set up one-time, annual or monthly gift giving through our online donation page. Please designate funds for Scholarships for Hope.

Costs* for program scholarships include:

• Transportation- $500 a month
• Adult Day Training- $700 a month
• Supported Employment- $800 a month
• Supported Independent Living- $900 a month
• Companion Support- $1,300 a month
• Group Home (full-time residence)- $3,500 a month

*These are actual costs to ARC Marion, not the rates received from Medicaid Waiver.
